Yonex Astrox 100ZX, badminton racket
from 148.00 €
A new release from Yonex for the season of 2020, the Astrox 100ZX!
Yonex's Astrox-range focuses on aggressive powerplay, and the 100ZX is equipped accordingly. It has a very stiff shaft and head-heavy balance, delivering powerful and steep smashes.
Although head-heavy rackets require more power and tend to be seen as clumsier than their head-light contemporaries, the modern Astrox rackets are rather user-friendly. We can use Yonex's Voltric-range as comparison, whose rackets have more of a "pure" head-heavy balancing, meaning that the head really does feel significantly heavy. For an inexperienced player, this can easily make the racket feel sluggish and increases the chances of a wrist injury. Yonex has thought this through with their Rotational Generator System technology, which means that the weight of the racket is distributed more evenly between the top of the frame, the frame's T-joint and the bottom of the handle. The racket still retains its smashing power of a head-heavy racket, while the small counterweight helps to maneuver the racket in situations where not only power is needed.
